The Scorpion WeatherActive is Pirelli’s Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of CUVs, SUVs, and pickups looking for comfort and confident performance in dry, wet, and light snow conditions. The Scorpion WeatherActive is designed as an all-weather tire to meet industry severe snow service requirements for the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol alongside its all-season performance.

The Scorpion WeatherActive’s innovative polymer/resin compound is molded into a V-formation directional tread pattern designed to deliver dry, wet, and wintertime performance as well as quiet on-road comfort. A narrow, long footprint and rigid 3-rib block design provide lateral traction and stability through turns in dry and wet conditions. A central zig-zag groove and trumpet-shaped lateral grooves work together for wet weather handling and hydroplaning resistance. Multiple biting edges within the tread blocks combine with deep sipes and generous shoulder notches for increased snow traction sufficient to receive the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

The internal construction of the Pirelli Scorpion WeatherActive consists of a two-ply polyester casing supporting two steel belts. Two polyamide reinforcement plies enhance high-speed stability and performance.

Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.
